At that point, you are putting almost entirely on sand and not the fibers. In time, the sand will settle or wash out, and your sand-filled green will become much slower.

They require almost daily mowing and watering; they need frequent fertilizing, veticutting, winter overseeding, aerating, and an occasional application of sand and top dressing.
